AJC 2008 Concludes
The Australian Junior Championships concluded earlier today.
For the 3rd National Championships in a row the ACTICF had a team in a National Chanpionship game with the Under 18's exceeding all expectations and becoming the first ACT Junior side to make a decider. The team was made up of many of last years Under 16's side that narrowly lost in the preliminary final. Unfortunately on the day the team could not get over the top of QLD, but they fought hard.
Jason Floros was named player of the series and also to the Australian side that will take on the Kiwis in the trans-tasman tests later this year.
In other divisions South Africa defeated WA in the 14's and SE Qld defeated NSW Blues in the 16's. In the Junior girls division NSW defeated Qld as well.
The ACTICF under 14's and Under 16 sides were not as succesful as the 18's but represented the ACTICF with pride.
The next hit outs for ACTICF sides will be the Autsralian Open Championships in Ipswich later this month.
